I designed these labels for Gatorade to give as gifts to contractors, vendors and employees for exceptional work.
Gatorade Limited Edition Labels
I designed this packaging for Gatorade's product innovation Drinkfinity. My deep knowledge of the brand allowed me to quickly design this package set which is available only to the Brazil National Football Team and their nutritionists. The label is designed to be user-friendly; as each pod is removed from the top, the essential information remains.
This project called on all my skills of design, production, project management and patience. It was loosely concepted by an outside vendor at which point it was handed to me to produce on a very tight timeline. There were 8 walls requiring graphics, each with unique constraints and challenges. The end result presents a bold vision of the Gatorade personality, highlighting some of the best roster athletes and youth athletes.
These layouts were created as part of SSP America's pitch for Phoenix Airport's restaurant concessions. Each section was designed to showcase the restaurant's unique offerings and atmosphere.
In 2012 I visited Cuba to explore the state of branding in the communist, anti-capitalist, nation. While there is very little advertising in Cuba, there is plenty of design. From propaganda to creative shop signs to simple warning signs, design can be seen everywhere. Branding exists too in packaging, shop signs, uniforms and the ever-present revolutionary slogans. When I returned, I complied this book of photographs and observations.
I recently participated in OpenIDEO challenge to answer the question: How might we use technology to inspire all socioeconomic and multicultural groups to lead healthier lives?
I submitted an idea that focuses on an element of healthy diets that does not often get addressed in typical apps - emotional eating. This idea takes advantage of biofeedback technology to help the user monitor their emotions and eating habits while tracking the two patterns to understand and change behavior.
I developed these concepts for Disney as part of a new program to market a baby care line in mass market channels. I worked very closely with an industrial designer to design the bottle shapes taking into consideration both the Disney Babies property’s characteristics as well as ease of use for the consumer.
In addition, I recommended ingredients appropriate to the product and wrote copy that explained the benefits to parents while keeping in character with the Disney Babies property.
Cadaco came to me for a fresh take on their logo. I designed this logo to communicate the cheerfulness of their brand.
I have extensive food packaging experience and this project is a perfect showcase of the skills I’ve acquired in that arena. For this package I art directed the photoshoot, styled the tabletop, retouched the photography and designed the packaging through to production.
This card was designed to be part of a "thank you" gift given at Gatorade's quarterly town hall meeting to honor employees who go above and beyond their job descriptions. I worked with the client to concept the "unsung hero" theme and wrote the copy as well.
I designed this logo for Sara Lee as part of their planned line extension into deli meats. They wanted to keep the equity of their existing logo while adding elements to connote a premium deli brand.
Tanya Gill is a cut-paper artist who uses vibrant colors and hand-cut designs in her work. I designed this identity set to highlight those two critical elements of her work. The cuts in the cards and letterhead are hand-cut by her, at her specification, making each unique.
The Best is Yet to Come
This experiment in hand lettering was created as part of a self-promotion piece. The process involved hand lettering, Illustrator and Photoshop. The resulting design was copied onto a chalkboard clipboard with chalk ink.
These posters were a fun project I gave myself to play with simple type and illustration. They are designed around some of my favorite quotes.
The first rule of improvisation is to say YES, AND to whatever is proposed on stage. This can also be great advice for living life. I designed this graphic to embody the spirit of improv.
